On last Monday, the organization “Help Me, Help You” had their interest meeting in hopes of gaining new members. The interest meeting began with President Jeanna Williams initiating an icebreaker for us to learn everyone’s name. After the icebreaker, each officer introduced themselves and informed us briefly about the organization. “Help Me, Help You” is fairly new to campus and is a mentoring program set up for upperclassmen to guide freshmen through their first year of college. The organization pairs up mentors and mentees based on majors, common interests, and gender. Along with bonding and freshmen having someone to rely on, “Help Me, Help You” has career building workshops and other beneficial workshops for their members to attend. To be a member, you also have to participate in at least 4 out of their many community service projects each semester. If you are interested in “Help Me, Help You”, they meet bi-weekly on Mondays. Their next meeting will be this Monday on February 16th, in the Student Union room 261.
