D.I.V.A.S Talk

The D.I.V.A.S Talk event on Wednesday evening was one that was quite riveting and informative. The D.I.V.A.S (Driven, Intelligent, Virtuous, and Ambitious Sisters) were great hosts and showed us what they were all about with the “talk” session. The purpose of this event was to discuss women and the unequal power distribution amongst society today, as well as issues women face on a day to day basis.

Attendees of the program were separated into one of four groups, along with the members of the D.I.V.A.S, where everyone sat in circles discussing a designated topic. The topic questions were previously prepared by the D.I.V.A.S and ranged from “Women in the Media” to “Women in Politics and even “Relationship Goals”. From from time to time, certain subjects got the group excited and launched intense debates. Nonetheless, everyone, especially the men, left the event with a greater appreciation and newfound perspective on what women deal with daily.
